• WORSHIP IS A PRIORITY!   We live to worship God joyfully and gratefully for Who He is, for all that He has done AND all He will do.

• GOD’S WORD IS THE PROGRAM!   His Word is the final authority on life.  We seek to grow through the consistent application of scripture to our lives, our attitudes, and our relationships.

• HIS SPIRIT IS THE POWER!   We seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through personal witness, evangelistic endeavors as a church and through church-planting both at home and abroad.

• FELLOWSHIP IS PLEASANT!   As an inter-dependent people, we understand the value of meeting together as a corporate body and in smaller groups to encourage and bear one another burdens.

• GIVING AND STEWARDSHIP IS PRACTICAL!   We recognize that all our material possessions are a gift from God given to bless our lives, but also to further His work and glory in the world.  We believe in investing to further the ministries of the church through our tithes and offerings.  Our church has invested in many nations and has sent our pastor to minister in China, the Philippines, S. Africa, Thailand, and Canada.

• SERVING IS PRODUCTIVE!   The Holy Spirit gives each of us the abilities to serve one another, the church at large and the community in which we live.  Discovering and developing those gifts to serve others is our constant aim.

OUR STORY

 

OUR ROOTS:   The Potter’s House of Corvallis is a Christian Fellowship Ministries’ Church (CFM).  Our Fellowship of churches was founded in 1970 by Pastor Wayman Mitchell.  A spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe.  Now, over 3,200 churches have been planted in over 130 nations of the world with numbers growing daily.  From that, crusades and conferences have sprung up that are touching tens of thousands every year.  This church is a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus’ return.  God has given us a vision for the day we live in.  Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth.   Jesus Christ is the only hope for man’s salvation and that is true with every person in every nation on the globe.  In a world full of empty dreams and false promises is a truth which grows stronger every year, and that is - Jesus Christ and Him crucified!

 

OUR LEADERSHIP:   We believe in the autonomy yet not complete independence of the local congregation.  We have a fellowship and structure that provide leadership and accountability in our local area.  As the Lord saves and raises up men in our local congregation to serve and set an example for others, we begin to use them in ministry positions.  We strive to obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”  As we have grown as a church, men have grown into leadership roles.
